Life in a monastery is not dull. Rather it is dynamic and action-packed. Today I sat 5 hours in a car to drive Gurunistha and Nitai to Mill Valley from where they would continue their journey to North Carolina together with Swami and Vrindaranya. Swami will be given a few talks there during the coming week. Mill Valley is pretty close to San Francisco for those of you who don’t know anything about Northern Californian geography. This also means that there are less people at the monastery who have to do the same amount of work. Lots of absorption so to speak.
In the meantime, the new swami.org site was launching and I was hoping there wouldn’t be to many problems, because I couldn’t do anything about them while sitting in the car. There are always unforeseen issues in such a launch. So have a look at the site and the much talked about webstore. It is live now after months and months of work!
Moreover, I realized today that I have 12 days to go before my flight brings me back to Holland. Even though I will fly to Finland after two days, it will be quite a change of scenery. Even more, because it means I have to go back to work the 1st of August. Hello collegues of Talent and Pro! does anyone still know me? haha in that fast paced company it will be a surprise to see who is still there and who is doing what. These dynamics seem to be a theme here. The company I work for, the monastery. The big difference though is the focus. Here at the monastery everything is 24 hours per day focused on Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. Everything is centered around them. Within a company you have many centers.
Anyway, it is getting late now and my plan is to post something every day until my flight leaves. So more tomorrow.
