While waving goodbye to Paraksit, Cintamani and Ray, I turn on my radio. The signal is bad but getting better when I drive out of the tunnel. The first word I hear is “desire”. The signal is still bad, but the voice continues “we are our desires”. And so I drive out of Arnhem where I just saw 108 play. I get home and a blue envelope is waiting for me. If you’re Dutch, you know that is bad luck. They want me to pay even more tax.
The 108 show was great yesterday and meeting old and new friends was even better. We jokingly called it the myspace/livejournal meet up. Still full of fire and passion the band raged on for 45 minutes. Some new songs and a lot of old classics I’m still appreciating. The crowd was small but “lovely” as Vic called it. And it sure was a lovely evening.
