instead of have all you can have. We explore the world with eyes to acquire while forgetting to look inside. Sure sometimes the dam breaks and we feel the water rise within. And then there’s no escape, we have to look at who we are. We misidentify. Thinking we are temporary. And the second we think so, we’ll look away again from our own selves, out in to the wide open material world. Again with an eye to acquire.
The cycle repeats itself. The beauty foregone for temporary quick satisfaction. We understand.
I see my collegues and I understand them. I have many ambitions too. They call it a career. For us it is no dirty word. But better watch with whom you talk about it. I’ve never wanted to be in the fold or to embrace mediocrity. Establish my own identity, search out my own self.
And that translates itself in my career too. But I know that I’m not my career. That it is all temporary and when it would fade, I will still be here. So I’m ambitious but more out of habit than having my life attached to it.
